The first Static for 2008 is now finished. We printed and mailed 796 hard copies. We also e-mailed around 300 copies. If you would like to download the electronic version, there is a link at the bottom of this page. From the lessons learned department: Allow two weeks for bulk US Mail to be delivered. While most people received their newsletter in time for the hamfest, I know of two local post offices that sat on newsletters until after the hamfest. The idea was to promote the hamfest so having the newsletters delivered before the hamfest is important. Oh well. The August Static has been updated. A copy is posted here. The September meeting activity was incorrect and has been changed. The calendar link on this site is correct. The next printed newsletter will be in early October. The November and December Statics will be e-mailed. I hope to propose more printed newsletters for 2009. A lot depends on our Club's finances. If you have not renewed your membership for this year, please do so as soon as possible. Your support is needed! I am look looking for material to use for an article or completed articles. Photos of your ham shack projects are welcome. Photos from other Ham events are welcome too. Please send your information to me, Ed DeHart, the Club's newsletter editor.
